After buying wheels can I just install and good to go?

I would ask the tire guy if he will check the balance on your wheels before he bolts them to your car, and have him balance any that are more than a half of an ounce off. When the tires were installed on the wheels, they were probably balanced then, and if they are still new tires with few miles on them, there's probably no need to balance them anyway. But if the shop will check them for free, it's worth it.

Install them and take them for a test drive. Increase you speed little by little and if your car starts to shake or vibrate excessively when you reach certain speed....you then must have the tires balanced.

No, you can have your tires balanced anytime you think they need to be balanced, old or new! If you plan on having a shop install the tires for you, might as well have them balance the tires too while they're at it.

Your new purchased rims and tire may or may not be balanced. You can't assume they are. If you wish to protect your investment you should have the balanced. In the long run it's worth the money.

Balancing is for new tyres or if we have vibration problems. Eg lost balance weights.

Ought to be able to fit and go.

Watch speedo readings as outer rolling radius may vary slightly.

Okay so I'm buying some wheels from a private seller. Rims and tires and I did my research and they will fit my vehicle. My stocks are 16s and I'm buying 17s but I just want to know if I can install them and hit the road or do I have to get them balanced ? Is balancing only for when you install new tires on a rim ?

Sorry for noob question but I don't know a lot about tires lol
