See if it holds on a hill or by pushing it in park, it probably survived the mishap so cool down and check it out.
Way, way, WAY "two" many pedals on a car isn't there. We have all done this, or will someday.
The transmission makers have a fail-safe part in the transmission that is designed to snap should you do that. If the PARK still works, then it's okay. If it doesn't work, then make an appointment to get the tranny looked-at.
No damage to the trans. They are designed to handle dumb s+++ like this.
So i Accidentally shifted car into Park while moving , i'm have no experience behind the wheel. I'm a 16 year old driver my mom and i were in a empty parking lot. before i had press the gas pedal thinking it was the brake pedal , i immediately acknowledge my mistake within seconds i brake but today i did the samething , with my mom besides me she told she to stop i accelerated but i meant to brake she panics i panic my reaction was to shift to brake lol so stupid , the car stop abruptly making an ugly sound abruptly , i **** my pants , my soul left my body at this point , my mom gets so mad , i give up on driving . How much damage have i cused? (5-10 mph)
