he 220 produces roughly 1/3 more electrical power to support additional accessories and recharge the battery more quickly. If you have any type of sound system power amp installed you definitely want the higher output alternator.

Per your message. You will need a minimum 200 Amp alternator to support your 1500 Watt Amplifier, which requires 125 amps alone at full power.

I have 70 amp altenator im trying upgrade 165 might work fine

Increasing alternator amperage is always a good idea when you've added an aftermarket *amplifier for your radio.

A higher amp alternator positively will not damage the car's electrical system.

its considered a heavy duty alternator or high output alternator depending on what part of the nation you live..lol
