92 roadmaster power steering issue?

You probably brake along with turning. The vacuum leak is in the power brake. That plus the extra drag from the power steering overwhelm the engine.

I think you are getting cause and efffect mixed up. Sounds like your car is bogging down stalling during right hand turns and with the engine dead (or almost dead) you notice that the steering is not getting power.

Look for the cause of your engine bogging down and I believe the steering will be OK.

I have a feeling that there is a vacuum leak issue, and a hose is leaking when the engine tilts with a turn. Of course, I am just guessing, since that is all anyone can do with your problem.

sounds like a sticky valve in the steering box. Try a fluid change.

how would i check for the leak?? it seems odd for a hose to cause that

so i have a 92 buick roadmaster with a v8. everything works fine except the steering issue. Ive had cars with bad pumps they squeel and are a beast to turn in either direction so my issue is this. there isa no squeeling and its not hard to turn but when and only when i turn right my car bogs down and sometimes dies. i seems to be a steering problem but none of the tell tale signs so i dont want to buy a new pump if its good any advice.....
