Not enough information to make a good diagnosis. How long does it sit before it will start again. If I had to guess I would say you are using up the fuel in the carburetor bowl and then it stops. After a little while gas flows back into the carb and it starts again. Check the line to the carb, fuel filter and see if there is any junk in the tank that my be blocking the screen that it probably has to keep stuff from going into the fuel line. It sounds like it is starved of gas and stalls. Also, you should take off the air cleaner and try spraing some starter fluid inot it when it starts to stall, this will tell you if it isn't getting gas. Or you could shoot some gas into the carb with a small squirt bottle or syringe.

Replace the carb. If there was even a hint of corrosion in the carb, it's dead. Corrosive particles get into the tiny passages and clog them. No way to remove them.

Sorry, they cut me off. I ran it today for 15 mins., cut half the yard then it cut out. Pulled it again, kicked over then quit. Next few pulls, nothing. Left it alone for 20 mins, kicked over then quit. Nothing again on subsequent pulls. Disassembled the carb bowl, cleaned out the bowl and checked gasket, all fine. Re-assembled and it will turn over and sputter for 2-3 minutes when I tilt the mower backwards then cuts out. thanks in advance for advice
