All cars and most trucks now have adjustable front and rear suspension.
I learned the hard way and pick a shop that is either near stuff I can walk or ride a bike to, near a coffee shop or just drop it off and come back.
Go to a different shop. No way it should take that long unless there are other problems that need to be fixed... in which case it should be estimated, itemized, and authorized separately.
If they charge like $200 then they will take 3 hours because that's how detailed they are.
I think if you ask, you will find you
Are getting a front AND rear alignment.
I haven't had a wheel alignment done in awhile, it's time I need one done. I found a place on Yelp that has really good reviews (and a lot of them too) at this local car shop. I called and he said 3 hours. That's so odd. I drive a Mazda, and this is not the first time I've had a wheel alignment done on either my car or someone else's car and it's never taken longer than 1 hour. Is this the new norm or what?
