2008 silverado struggles to turn on help!?

Okaii so every time I get in my truck I have to have key forward and back many times. So truck can turn on with out struggling. Why is that this nd for halls help have a good day!

Could be problem with ignition switch itself, too. When you turn key to "start" position, what happens? Click from engine? Turn over but won't start? Silence? Hard to diagnose w/ your description.

"reserve amperage capacity" sounds like a made up new term for CCA (Cold Cranking Amps).

At any rate, if you are turning the key to the "On" Position and then "Off" then you have a fuel pressure problem. If not then the ignition cylinder is faulty.

Hi there,

Sorry for any trouble you're having with starting your truck. If you're interested in having your local dealership perform an inspection we would be happy to stay involved throughout the process. Please message us your full contact information and VIN if we can be of assistance.

Thanks,

Does the starter motor engage when you twist the key to the start position? Does the starter motor spin the crankshaft at the normal speed? If not, take the 12 volt battery to any store that sells new ones other than Auto Zone and ask for a free 15 second battery *load test. This quick test will tell you the reserve amperage capacity of the battery. Amperage spins starter motors not voltage.

Use your warranty. You bought American, so let's see how good this is.
