If it's a drum brake, and you've never done this before, I recommend taking a picture with your phone before you dig in. You're gonna need shoes (brakes shoes... you should wear shoes too) and your gonna need a hardware kit. It'll contain various components like springs and such. And that should do. Be sure to use the adjusting wheel accessible from the back of the brake when finished. Then put the vehicle drive in reverse and brake hard a few times. If its disc you'll need new pads, hardware and the rest is self explanatory. Good luck and don't forget about the yoots! Bet any money its on utube.

Drum or disk?
Looking at doing my own brake job on my intrepid. What parts will I all need for rear brakes?
