Injectors are working (you smell gas) so crank sensor must be working. Use a spark tester to see if there's 'fire' on each spark plug wire, if there is 'fire' change the plugs, no 'fire' check the ignition module. If you do have to replace the module definitely put some heat sink paste on the bottom of the new one, or it'll fail next month. If you just have to change the plugs change the wires too, a bad plug will cause undue stress on the wire
thanks travis. thats what i thought it was but since it was getting gas i figured it wasnt. i forgot all about the fact that it has to have a certain PSI for it to actually work and not just have a trickle and all be well... ill give that a try and if it for some reason is something else i will let you know. thanks again
could be the alternator. take it to pep boys they will charge you 20 but you will know exactly what the problem is.
I checked all the fuses and none of them are blown. The car wants to start it goes through all the motions but will not actually start. It turns over but doesn't want to start. soi the battery is fine, the starter is fine. I thought it was possibly the fuel pump, but when i tried to pump the gas to get the car to start i smelt fuel from it being flooded, so I'm pretty sure the fuel pump is working. I've got no more ideas as of right now and if anyone could help me, the help no matter how small would be grateful.
