Hi so has it ever seen the inside of a volkswagen dealers workshop.
if you take it to VW they will have to find the fault but could be expensive, if the engine turns over just try this, take off the air filter and open the air valve and put a screwdriver in it to keep it fully open, don't use any acceleration and turn it over, turn 5 for secs then rest for 10 secs for a minute, if it was the fuel from morrisons you would have hundreds of car not working, are you sure you put the right fuel in
good luck
what year is it?
Might be some electrical problems
Ill give you 50p for it.
Please someone help me. I have a 1.4 Volkswagen Golf. Ive only had it 6 months and is great. Apart from the fact it wont start. At first it was the starter motor (so i was told) so i replaced it, then the alternator so i replaced that. I have also replaced the whole exhaust. Its trying to start but as im turning the key the car doesn't start. Someone told me to press on the accelerator as i start the car but even that doesnt work now, i keep doing it but nothing. Ive had it in to a number of different garages and friends look at it. They are all stumped. It has been on numerous diagnostic machines and all say nothing is wrong. Even the breakdown team have been out a few times and couldn't find the answer. Can someone please suggest something as im close to just getting rid even though i love the car.
