Ground wire maybe got loose . Follow black cable from the battery and see if it is tightly secured on the car . Check if red one is tight on starter and last tap starter with some metal rod few times and try to start it .If it does than is your starter . It might be as well faulty key ignition that doesn't give any contact .
as a electrician take a screw driver and cross the terminals on the starter and see if it rolls over. if it is a ford you can find the solenoid on the firewall and do the same thing. try not to groundout on frame.. if you do no harm no foul.
Guessing does not repair cars. Get the car to a mechanic before you cause major, and expensive, repairs.
I can't get my car to start. I thought it was the battery but I went to auto zone and grabbed a new one but still NOTHING. I'm not even getting the clicking noise that I think indicates the the starter is getting power (when I turn the key). My battery is now brand NEW.
The only light that has been on and off recently is the airbag light. Sometimes the light would come on and stay on sometimes it would just go right off. I notcied on the days it stayed on, it seemed like the car wasn't getiing a lot of power when i would start it. Could it be the starter? Don't think it's the alternator but I'm an Electrician not a Mechanic. Thank you so much(in advance) for all the answers and hope 1 of them helps. Have a good week.
