If u do engineering from a good college then u can earn handsomely.
Average package from top colleges in India varies around 8-9 lakhs(neglecting top salaries which can g to 20-30 lakhs in case of IITs IIITs and NITs)
whereas from middle grade colleges (like colleges u get in CMDK or Orissa JEE or WB) its around 3-4 lakhs.(neglecting top salaries which varies from 10-20 lakhs)
One of my friend who completed his engineeing from IIIT Allahabad got his starting salary of 10 lakhs.
So word hard best of LUCK!!

well in india what happens is that the most intelligent people take science stream and avoid arts or commerce so we take science stream in school, because everybody likes to be called intelligent and avoid shame if you're not smart,unless you've money to pay off for science you'll definitely choose it,then you're left with two choices, which are medical and engineering, most of students don't have power to mug up the answer (hypothetically/ people says that one who can mug up can tolerate medical) so they go with engineering, doesn't matter decreasing demand or less salary, moreover after engineering you're left with the most career choices than any other career will offer, you might have heard that engineers are used to have fun and not study until the last day, which is true in most cases too...so nevertheless people choose engineering..!!
Chnoose engineering because you willhave fun and enjoy your work.
