Which unit expresses the electrical current?

The SI unit for electrical current is Ampere, A.

Ampere

Current is almost always measured in Amps

! amp is 1 coulomb per second or roughly 6.2E18 electrons per second.

Once you get below about 1 Femto amp (one millionth of a billionth of an amp) then sometimes people work in electrons per second, but this is usually only in physics experiments and specialist instrumentation and not usually found in standard industrial or commercial electronics.

Current is always expressed and measured in amperes (or milliamperes, microamps, nanoamps, picoamps, etc).

Fortunately, there is no alternative system such as imperial versus metric for current, volts, resistance or power.

The symbol for current is "I".

Ampere, abbreviation, amps, or just A simply
