You could definitely do that to be on the safe side. But don't worry so much about being limited in scope. It depends on your interests too. If you really like aviation , then specializing in aeronautical engineering will get you a job in the industry over a mechanical engineer. But if you just want safety in a career, mechanical is more used in more industries, so there are more jobs (but there are also more graduates, so it is kind of a wash)
Personally, if I was in it for the money or safety I would probably go into petroleum engineering, because there aren't that many graduates , also not many schools, and we aren't going away from the petro economy any time soon, and it only takes about 4 barrels of oil a day to pay the salary of an engineer, so this industry has a lot more money than most.
hey aeronautical eng has much scope..,in indian airforce u will become an airwarrior at high post....it has huge carrier..,so think on it worth it....n u also join there by any trades especialy mech ....but aeronautical has more chances in iaf
EEE and Civil.. A lot of scope in future!
hi, I just finised my 12th and im planning to do aeronautical engineering. but some people say that that aeronautical engineering does not have much scope. so is it possible to do bachelors in mechanical engineering and then masters in aeronautical engineering? just to be on safer side.
