Which engineering discipline contains the least physics?

Eg civil, mechanical, aeronautic etc.

Biotechnology, Bioinformatics.

The branches you mentioned is full of Physics

It's the qualifications you need to consider as well you know, rather than just the area of engineering. All higher engineering qualifications (HNC, HND, Bsc,Msc degree courses) require some physics, science and maths and the higher the qualification the more intense the level of scientific knowledge required. I know of numerous fields of engineering that require virtually no physics at all in the everyday application of the job but to get these jobs you require qualifications that included some physics. However, i would say that being involved in design and development tends to be the area of highest use. So you can be involved many different fields of engineering without a great deal of use of physics.

Every Engineering departments need physics more or less. But from my point of view, think departments like Industrial, Chemical, Architecture need less physics than others.

This is somewhat like asking which job in dentistry has the least to do with mouths, but an answer to your question would be a software engineer.

Industrial Engineering probably has less physics in its applications. However, there is a lot of math.

Eg civil, mechanical, aeronautic etc.
