I went to ABET.ORG and found that you can get automotive engineering technology at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI, USA or Minnesota State University, Mankato (Formerly Mankato State University) Mankato, MN, USA. You would be better off getting a mechanical engineering or electrical engineering degree with electives selected for automotive.

Automotive Engineering is offered only as a Master's degree at University of Michigan and you would need a BSE in Mechanical Engineering to apply.

However, when I looked these universities up on collegeboard.com, and checked their offered majors, "automotive engineering" was never mentioned on the list. Why? If I want to be an automotive engineer, what do I have to do?
