What's wrong with my car?

when it comes to an engine, a grinding noise is never a good thing. and should not be driven until it is checked out. if you don't want to loose the use of that car or spend a couple grand to fix it, then i suggest you skip some class or go to work late or have someone who knows cars have it looked at.

The grinding could be a bad pulley. If it is, it can break at any time and leave you stranded. Check out this video which should help you diagnose the noise:

i think it should be in the shop getting fixed.

you can drive it till it quits running if you like.

Yeah its a old belt find which one it is and buy it/replace it

I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer. It has about 153,000 miles. When I turn it on, it makes a loud grinding sound and it only stops when I turn on the AC. I dont know what it could be...Does anyone know what it could be and if it will be safe to drive for about two days since I have to work and go to school. Thanks in Advance.
