Hi yes it breaths better which is what is needed for racing.how ever the fact it has no air filer and racing engines have such a short life as they need to be stripped down every third or fourth race. so yes this is not meant to be for a standard road car but a performance car used on a race track where the surface is kept clear of debris.

so getting more air fuel mixture in means going faster as most racing engines are running at near flat out 90% of the time then fuel consumption is also not an issue.

Some BMW's are like this from the showroom floor! ! NO CAR can run very long without protection from SAND and contamination from the AIR very long! RACE ENGINES are only used for several hours, and then dismantled! SInce we cannot drive at 140 LEGALLY In this country, it makes VERY LITTLE SENSE to drive any car with these features on it! EUROPE is another thing ALTOGETHER! WE are STILL In many ways in the AUTO DARK AGES in AMERICA and our legislators are STILL backwards a bn\bit as well! AT LEAST we can go 75 NOW< unlike in the late 870's when 55 was the TOP SPEED and speedometers had to be LIMITED to only 85 MPH On them! BY LAW!

That's a tried and true method of getting more air/fuel into each cylinder and also allows for the mixture to be "customized" for each cylinder since that one throttle body / carburetor (in the old days) is only working with that one cylinder.

The problem has always been synchronization - getting them all to be supplying the same amount at the same time.

It's a car show. The multiple throttle bodies are just for looks. It probably doesn't even run.

Disadvantages:

Harder to set-up correctly.

Use more fuel

Not good in dusty environments due to lack of air cleaners. Insects, leaves, small children etc could get sucked in....

Cost more than single TB.

one on each cylinder pros hauls @ss cons 6 x the fuel uni sinc all cyls. custom air box custom throttle linkage multible fuel pump/relays/wiring/fuses ecm modifications stoplight to stoplight re adjust non dependable science fiction any questions?.....unknown answers......science fiction justs because it fits doesnt make it work

I was watching car tuner show, they modify cars, they put on 6 throttle body on a inline-6 engine. I guess, this will add more air into the cylinders, more oxygen will go into the combustion camber, greater power produced, bla bla bla... What else?

On the other hand, I believe there are disadvantages on this modification. They didn't installed air-filter, dirty air will harm the engine?
