I have used these to even hold a corsage in place... these were once used as a weapon by women, and still could be... also, in sewing when short on straight pins... i have used these as extra's. :) Even in decorations... you never know how handy a hatpin can be...:) Flowers, wreaths, all kinds of things.
Popping a stuck CD/DVD drive tray open if the power is off or it won't respond to and eject command. Push the hatpin into the little hole on the front of the tray.
Well, these days....using them for hats is pretty creative.....
