All hoses will eventually burst or crack and need replacement. If you can't tell for sure, then borrow a cooling system pressure tester, fill it up with water, and over pump until the leak is obvious. Then not only fix the leak, but replace the thermostat. Once you overheat, the thermostat is no good any more. Also check that the electric fan comes on.
#1. Transport the car to it's dealer for repairs before you ruin the engine!
If you can identify which hose it is, it should be fairly easy to change.
The reason it continued to overheat was because the water had been lost and there was nothing to cool the engine.
If the overheating has happened before, look into getting the thermostat changed as it may be jammed shut. (If you have a ford, this is quite common)
Was at the red light and noticed my temperature hand was all the way in the red, i panicked because this has never happended before, then i suddenly heard something "burst" then coolant started leaking all over the road,i pulled over and the car temperature hand went down, then 5 min later while driving it ran back hot, so i pulled over, let it cool off, then drove, repeated this like 3 times and just pulled over and called my mom to pick me up and ill let the car sit for a bout 2 hours to let it cool completely off. Return that night and drove it all the way back home, didnt run hot until i got in the yard. I noticed that when i Pour water into the radiator its comes right back out near the engine near a black hose, dont know the exact location but attached a video and picture..let me know what you think is wrong.
