To all Mechanical Engineers?

Lots of people, including myself, go into mechanical engineering expecting something completely different from what it actually is.

-You don't get to "build" stuff.

-You don't get to "fix" stuff with your hands or machinery.

-You don't learn much about cars or any type of vehicles, but you learn more about the maths and theories that go behind combustion, friction, materials, forces and structures.

^Those jobs are for technicians/maintenance department that get paid less and have less schooling.

The schooling part of mechanical engineering is boring. The real life work is more interesting since you get to use your creativity to solve problems. The day to day work is not repetative. You do different things every day and work on different projects all the time. So it never gets boring.

The pay is also very comfortable for a family of 4.

Yes you get to make tanks, airplanes and machine guns, but bombs are left to the ORD. engineers.

fffffffffffsdf dbgfddddddddddddddddddddddgbbbbbbbbbbfff...

I'm deciding on what kind of career path I'm taking before I go to college(sorry my apostrophe key is broken -_-) is being a mechanical engineer fun? is the pay alright? do you get to make cool stuff like tanks and other stuff?
