your condensing unit to protect the compressor from
short cycling. A growling sound, followed by cycling
on the thermal protector without starting can't be diagnosed
without inspection and measurement.
You have a fundamental problem with the installation.
Do not use the machine to avoid what might be a simple
problem becoming a total loss.

i think the best option is to contact the supplier.
If it's new, make a warranty claim.
Rain should not be a problem.

my split AC compressor not working correctly, when i turn ac on the compressor starts after 2,3 minutes .
and it stops the moment it starts (and giving a sound of 'grrrrrrrr' and stop), this happens 3,4 times and compressor remains off.
till last night when i slept it was working perfectly,
this problem might have occurred at mid of night (since last night the weather is rainy, may be the rain is reason for this problem)
i tried turning main switch off and on,
also tried powering off and on from remote control
the AC is brand new, fitted few days ago
if any one can help me it'll be very appreciable.
