start by checking the brake fluid level in the master cylinder. yes, certain vehicles will turn on all kinds of warning lites if there is a potential problem with the abs system.if the level is low you may get the lite to turn on by cornering hard or stopping quickly, it will come on and time-out in about 2-3 minutes

If the speedometer stopped working, you probably have a problem with a speed sensor.

Speedometer stopped working, ABS brake lights came on, the slip light came on, and car service light came on. Stayed for 3 minutes while car drove fine and then car dashboard went to normal minus ABS brake lights stayed on until turned car off then on again.
