Ben and Stpaulguy are on good points, or it could be a heat shield the fall down, it would be quieter and just noticeable. Don't just rip the heat shield off, you can catch your car on fire that way. Seen it happen!

Some vehicles have rear stabilizer end links that make that kind of noise. Does yours have them? Who knows. You kept that info secret
Something is touching something it should not be touching.
Recently got my struts changed before that when hitting the slightest bump in the road there was this horrible sound from the rear now that my struts are changed its a lot quieter but still there and its a annoyance I simply want to ride smoothly and quietly. Any idea with the sound is? Now it just sounds like metal on metal when I hit a bump not loud but noticeable
