Sitting in car during lunch?

First off, u can't use the AC when the engine is off. The only air that would come out of the vents in warm air from just having the fan on. The ac compressor needs to get power from the engine. So the engine has to be on to get cold air. And I personally wouldn't let my car idle with the a/c and radio on for an hour. It's a waste of gas. And if it's an older car, it could cause overheating Problems.

Absolutely nothing will happen to a properly running vehicle if the engine is idling for 1 hr or 10 hrs.

KOEO-key on engine off-listening to the radio only will be fine depending upon the strength of your battery.

Leaving your engine running without driving it WILL add alot of extra wear to your engine. Its not good to let your engine run for an extended amount of time without driving. Otherwise just watch your battery strength so it doesnt die

As long as the engine is running which spins the air conditioner compressor and charges the battery no harm will be done.

It's fine, just watch your battery.

Depending on what kind of battery you have it will die if you do this a lot and in the future if consistinly doing this you will need a new alternator because the alternator will need to consistently keep charging your battery after everytime to listen to music for an hour

I do the same thing. . . don't think it is harmful but if there is a cost to 0 velocity operation, it is just a cost of lunch.

During my lunch break I like to sit in my car and eat my lunch / listen to music in the AC. Is it bad for my car to do this? Should I leave the engine on or off? Sometimes I leave the engine off and keep AC/radio on. Will this kill my battery? My lunch break is like an hour
