HI some cars still have a separate voltage regulator and that may be shot.. (some alternators have a built in regulator and some do not.. ) check that

check fusible link not blown or alternator exiting wire ( thin one) not connected ?

here we can run in circles..if no blown fuses? etc its best to have a technician check it over. as new parts etc ought not to be too expensive .
