If it is just for one side, it sounds about right, but if it is for whole vehicle, a full respray for $800 is a little on the light side. The only way a shop can justify that is either have an apprentice do the complete job, or it's done at a training school.

I'm just curious. I have a dodge caliber that needs a door , fender and bumper painted. I was quoted "$800 for everything. That's to do body work, which is pulling a dent outta the door. fix rust spots, very very minor ones. rough it all up, primer, paint, pearl, clear coat, everything that possibly needs done. And between each layer it has to be sanded. " I this good?? Or should I look around?
