P = I^2(20) represents power in DC circuit?

if power is 168.2 watts, what is the current?

It's just simple algebra, surely they taught you that?

P = I^2(20)

168.2 = I^2(20)

I^2 = 168.2/20 = 8.41

I = √(8.41) = 2.9 amps

Are you really majoring in engineering with zero math skills? Perhaps you should consider a change in career?

I=sqrt(168.2/20)=2.9 amps

excel

= (168.2/20)^(1/2)

2.9A

I don't mean to bust your chops... but really. You're given the power. You've got the resistance. So really... you can't solve for I? How exactly do you expect to survive this class with no math skills?
