It is to lube the mechanism in the nailer. Put a small amount into the air inlet each
time you use it on a project. If you don't it will lock up and be ruined.
Hi, they may be oil less but you should all ways add a few drops of oil in the air inlet opening to lube the inside from ware from time to time. It should tell you this in the manule.. I worked in a trailer factory for years and that's what we did.. made them work good for a long time. If you put too much in it you well get a little blow by at the air exit..
Its oil LESS so less oil is used, not oil free..

You did not list the brand and model of the nailer so the only answer I can give you is to read the owners manual. It may be for lubricating a certain part.
Yeah, read the owner's manual. Maybe the oil is for after one has finish using it and set for storage. So it will not rust(inside).
Purchased Magnesium combination nailer/stapler kit. Operation manual indicated that it is an oil-less design. The case has a small container of oil. What is the oil for?
