Hi time to take it to the boys that know then as this icon of the pick up truck line does need some TLC sometimes. my land cruiser always works better when it has been in for a service. they will collect it if that is the case. unusual as it is they sometimes need expert attention even when dropped from several feet up.

You toasted the ignition switch contacts, replace the switch. You knew this when you smoked it.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Get a test light or multimeter and check you have power coming in and power going out when its 8n the start position. If there is no power out its the ignition switch again more than likely. If you have power going out then you need to find out wether power is getting to the relay and so on.

i did replaced ignition switch brand new. and checked all fuses. it just won't start.

i replaced ignition switch an starter relay tested my starter (still good), battery brand new, what happin was i lost my key and i took the ignition switch out and started it and i left it hanging and the acc. on the switch grounded on the hand brake bar and it smoked a little so right when i saw it smoke i moved it. now i am having trouble getting it to start pls. help!
