Leak under car?

agree with bmwrdier001 above - if it's clear and looks like water it mostly likely is completely harmless condensate from the air conditioner and you are fine. If it's green and smells like maple it's coolant, (and you have a problem.) If it's red and/or black and thicker then it's oil or transmission fluid, (and you have a bigger problem.)

What color is it? What does it smell like?

Water could be condensate from the air conditioner housing drain tube

well it's hot now, so you might be looking at the condensation from the air conditioning. Try to check the fluid more closely, it might be radiator fluid. Check all your levels to make sure there ok. I think your ok.

Were you running the air conditioner when this happened?

I was driving yesterday and I didn't notice something on the road. I drove over it and heard a loud notice under the car. I pulled over at a parking lot to see if anything was wrong and there was a clear liquid dripping around the engine area from under the car. I think it was water. Would this be a serious problem or what might the leak actually be. I'm 17 and I haven't told my dad about this yet so I need to know if it is a serious problem or not??
