Is my stall converter the right one.?

Hi, if its 3500 stall then your most likely OK.. usually when trying to figure Stall look at the cam spec's. you want a stall just below the highest tq. of the cam yours is @ 4200 so for street use I think your ok..

read what Robert B put up.

good luck

Ok so it is actually a th350 with a 3500 non lock up stall

so stall has been addressed! For my tastes I would want lower gears. 3;43 is a little high.

Read this, it will help.

I have a blue print 396 sb with a cam .544 intake, a.554 exhaust lift, 230 intake, 236 exhaust duration at 0.50.

506.47 hp @5700 and 533.1 tq @4200.

I have a hughes 3 speed tranny. With a 2500 rpm stall and 3.43 rear gear.

This is all in a 1968 gmc 1500 swb.

My main questions are is the stall ok? What's a good rear end to go with?
