Physicists have a new theory called 'The Expanding Earth' Theory, which theorizes that the planet was much, much smaller in the not so distance past.

In Biology, there's a concept referred to as 'coevolution'. in a nutshell, this is "the change of a biological object triggered by the change of a related object

Now on the cosmological scale of things, the amount of time human beings have existed on Planet Earth has been a blip in the linear time this planet has existed. This and the dominant position our species holds on this planet suggests some form of coevolution between the planet and our species has occurred as our species has propagated across the face of this planet.
Perhaps it's possible the scale/size of humans in contrast to the planet has not been consistent over time as both the planet Earth herself and Humans co-evolved, and the Earth's scale adjusting wildly to the presence of a new species called humans - and it was a human child who assembled the pyramid like modern day children would assemble tinker toys?

There is simple direct evidence for the method of construction. Yes there were water filled trenches - they were used to set the level.
After that it was ramps, rollers and muscle. Plenty of pictures show the process clearly. If you uese rollers it is not that hard to roughly position a block. Then levers and crowbars to nudge it exactly into places.
They did not use water filled canals to float blocks uphill. There is no evidence for massive, sealed, hydro tight, stone tubes. Nonsense I am afraid.

I think that the precision required to keep the thing from leaking could not be accomplished at that technology level. The pressure on the lock gates would make them extremely difficult to open and close.
There are lots of theories about how the pyramids were constructed, but no solid evidence for any of them.
