Of course you can pick up things with your mind. Think about picking it up then your brain sends signals down your arm to your muscles which contract and pick up the object.
Picking up things with JUST your mind as in telekinesis is not possible.
If you think you can lift objects with just your mind try doing it in front of witnesses, you'll either get respect or laughed at either way you'll know if you're superhuman or just crazy.
I think you may be crazy because you think you can.
