But nothing is overwhelming if you learn to manage your time and make priorities.
I'm not gonna sugar coat for you. if you want to party and have a social life, facebooking and youtubing daily then properly you should try another major, if you ready to spend 5-8hrs in the library everyday, then go for it.
its 75% effort, 20% smarts, and 5% luck.
It is the hardest bachelor degree program that there is. Even premed, chemistry, nursing, law, ...all pale in comparison. This is because engineering is so analytical in every aspect. You won't get hardly any multiple choice type exams any more....you will get instead "show your work and derive the answer with these knowns", and you figure out what equation(s) to use to solve the word problems.
The other degrees you can get by with just a good memory. You remember enough to get you thru a test. In engineering, you have to remember a lot of stuff, but you also got to figure out what stuff you remembered and how to use it to solve the problems.
So unless you get A's in calculus and algebra without a sweat...engineering basic classes and the math sequences will kick your a**
Engineering is tough, but it is not overwhelming.
no need to do engineering to become a pilot
I'm going into High School this year, and I'm going to a Magnet School, so they have 'majors', so to speak. I'm majoring in Engineering, because I really want to become a pilot for the Air Force. Is it a difficult field? Will it be too overwhelming? If so, is there any advice as to how to go about this study?
