Glass is difficult to work with in M.E. but I guess you could etch with copper. Honestly the shot glass is enough, especially if your dad is an engineer. We all do love a good drink after a hard's day solving the worlds infrastructure an technological problems.
As for M.E myself, gifts I like, Newton's Cradle and Slinky's explain a lot of M.E. problems and are cheap or a Rubik's cube will keep any engineer going or all give a great desk piece they're happy to to show around . All of which you can throw it in with the shot glass.
I wanted a boy, but I'll settle for a ( MIT ) engineer.
She got a degree, and ..I .... got a shot glass.

So i'm putting together my fathers christmas present, and I had an idea. I'm currently a Mechanical Engineering student, so I found a shotglass with the school's mascot on it. I want to personalize it a little more, so I was planning on etching something into the glass. My problem is thinking of something to put on it. Seeing as i'm his youngest daughter and a ME, I'd like to do something that relates to that. A humorous phrase is what I had in mind. Ideas?
