A magnet on its own has a megnetic force and no energy.
You wouldn't be designing a petrol engine now would you?.... Since a petrol engine runs off of petroleum!
you cant use a magnet as a source of energy. you can only use it to transmit energy . That is what an electric motor does.

i was thinking about to design an magnetic engine which composed of magnetic cylinder and magnetic piston which is under the principle of magnetism..i want to replace the fuel by placing the action of magnet to work the petrol engine...this technique is very useful for today's life...as it does only by the use of magnetic energy not at all using natural energy resource...so we will achieve an non-pollution environment...what is the basic things need to design an petrol engine..and how it works.. is also use the microprocessor interfacing to make the magnet to switched on and off for a few seconds....
