Open it again, (from the inside), go to the hood and open it the rest of the way. (There's a latch near the middle that you have to push sideways.) Then, close it.
You got the hood shut again, should not change the gap any...

The hood was on the second or safety latch.I am going to say it is just your imagination .
I used the lever that i thought was for the trunk and opened the hood. I was driving around for about 20 minutes until someone told me my hood was open. I closed it but there seems to be a gap between the hood and the front of car. Could the gap have gotten bigger or am I being paranoid?
