I need help diagnosing a car?

There is no cam position sensor as far as I know, the distributor performs that function. There is an ignition module on the left side of the engine. If you have access to one from another car or cheap you may want to try that.

It sounds like your ingition control module. Autozone I know will check this part for free if you remove it and take it to the store. I'm not sure where its located on your Tacoma.

Like shawn s write. Does sound like ignition control module.

There is a way to check codes on pre-96 OBDI autos. Google it or check youtube.

1995 Tacoma 2.4 no start, I'm getting injector pulse for a few seconds after I cycle the key off and try to start but no spark anytime. I replaced the distributor and computer but it's doing the same thing still. I'm thinking cam position sensor maybe?
