If not 8 hours let the car sit for around 24hours before trying to start it again.
When will people ever learn never to put a hose or high pressure water blaster near a modern engine? You can't even drive a modern car through water over a certain depth. These things have got sensors on them everywhere. Best of luck.
First of all never go hosing willy nilly under the bonnet of your car. After all water wont do **** to oil. I would be letting everything dry. Take off the battery leads also while you wait this will reset the system. Are you sure u didnt overfill the oil.
You hosed it off? You see, water got on all the electrical stuff, as now you have to dry it all up real good, and under all those coils, and everything. If you got water in the computer area, you may have damaged it. Everything has to be really dry.
surely a 'water contamination'. that's my best bet and it also happened with my neighbor's Toyota. The coil pack got soaked.
Why is it people with no idea mess with their cars/ bikes then come crying on here when it doesn't work afterwards!
You fried your engine.
