Even a little scuff on the other car's bumper could cost several hundred dollars to repaint.......they will be without their car for a couple days and need a rental........be inconvenienced. Maybe a car is no big deal to you, but it might be to them.
in re: "Please Help" . . . just what do you expect us to do about it?
I love how you just decided to devalue someone else property and then wonder if it is right.
did you minor scuff up a ferrari? Or was it a pinto?
It does not matter. You messed up someones property!
yes leave a note, if his/her insurance is liability only, not full cover then he/she must pay to fix that minor body work if that minor blemish irritate him/her so much.
then offer to pay the repair cost.
but u can say u need time to gather money if the repair cost estimation exceed ur current financial strength.
you should feel guilty. You committed a crime by leaving the scene. of an accident. Make it right by providing your insurance info.
You put the note saying "People that saw me hit your car think that I am leaving you my phone # but I am not . Merry xmas and happy new year ."
Say 3 Hail Marys & be thankful no harm occured. Then forget about it.No harm-no foul.
My cconscious would kill me
I was parallel parking and bumped into the car behind me because I was on ice and slid into him. It was maybe a 0.5mph bump. I got out and my car had tiny scuffs on the bumper and the other cars scuff was small and barely noticeable. The rest was normal. I see this car everyday since I work in the area, should I leave a note tomorrow? I feel guilty.
