If you mean home use ,it provide enough electricity need trough to the batteries .In case machinery it has large scale and still is a theory ,cause of limited of the energy and batteries need the period time for the charging which it cause slow down .
we will use the solar energy in light For example sun light , bulb light , led light.because the solar works on energy packets of photons.
