How to install auxiliary lights on a car?

Use 2 6RA relays. one 'switched' by the foglamp circuit, the other by the main-beam circuit. Connect the output terminal of both relays to the 'aux' lamps and feed a dedicated (fused) live feed to both relays.

By using two relays you will not need 'diodes'.

Job done !

You can not do that with the factory switch on the high beams, it requires 3 way wiring. Your Saab is too dependable of a car in my opinion to make such an alteration to something as important as lighting, just install the extra switch, fine automobile btw

It would take a couple of relays, diodes and wires, running the relay coils off the high and fog lamps. I hope this helps.

they are only single philement bulbs your task is futile they only have a single function

hello i want to install two auxiliary lights to my car. i want them to run off the fog ligh switch but also the high beam switch (so they would out put low beam levels of light when fog lights are on and then would output high beam levels of light when the highbeams are activated). hopeful this makes sense....

(ive not been able to fine anywere what would help with both, so any website segestion would be great thank)

oh an i have a Saab 9-5 Areo 2002 (if that helps)
