This is easier to see than explain and are we looking at changing a tyre as changing a wheel? Or as if putting on a rim?
Utube and web search ought to throw many videos showing this.
For safety it's best to watch few times..any questions ask at a tyre depot etc.
You'll need a pyre to see what your doing while changing it out.
Instructions are sometimes under the trunk lid.
Read the manual in the glove compartment to see where the *jack lift points are first.
One bolt at a time, Skippy.
1. put parking brake on
2. remove hubcap if applicable
3. "crack" the lugs - undo them about 1/2 a turn
4. raise vehicle using the jack (near the tyre you want to change), make sure you use the jacking point under the car. While the vehicle is raised do not place any part of your body underneath.
5. remove the lug nuts
6. remove the wheel
7. installation is the reversal of removal with the following notes-:
Ensure that you tighten the lug nuts in a star formation (or diagonal if 4 bolt pattern), this is to ensure the rim centers itself on the hub and applies even tension to the lugs.
8. Ensure the lug nuts are tight, but not over tight. this can be achieved after removing the jack, retighten every lug once again, the lug may give a slight creaking sound or tighten another 1/8th of a turn.
Replacing a tyre on a rim is a lot of sweating and grunting if you dont have a machine, Rubber mallet, tyre levers, air compressor, 2 beers per rim (to lubricate the thoat which will get sore through swearing and cussing).
Better leave that one for the shop, whatta you recon?
