If you mean using the water from the hose to carry electricity to the bad guys - no it isn't going to work because there has to be a completion of circuit and even if the guys are standing in grounded water - there is grounded water a lot closer - where she is - and all the pipes are grounded. Tap water is not very conductive (the thing about throwing a radio in a tub to kill someone really doesn't work very well) so getting the house electricity to the right place would be a problem.
A rubber hose filled with water and somehow draped over a neon sign transformer might be more interesting.
Let the nozzle leak a little just to let a little water flow thru the hose. You will get a little condensation on the hose from the humid air against the cold hose wall. Rub some table salt on the hose and mix it with the condensate water on the hose until salt dissolves. The salt makes the water condensate extra conductive
Hook an electric fencer to one end of the hose and place a ground rod on the other end for the fencer machine. You could keep the electric fence off and turn it on with a motion sensor so when someone grabs the hose they are shocked, "electric fence "style.
The problem would be to keep from electrocuting herself.
Hi! I am working on a novel where my female character is being chased by two men. She's a sort of McGyver type. She uses science to solve problems.
Anyway, she runs through a garden and sees a garden hose. How can she turn it into a sort of "electrified water canon?"
Can she rip a live wire from somewhere and let the electricity merge with the stream of water? She doesn't want to kill them. Just stun them. Granting artistic license, would this work?
Thanks.
