You stop at the oil rig and ask one of the men working there how to get a job there.
You go to the hiring office and fill out a job application. Yousearch the papers for a job as a sweat hog. that is the all around place where you start.
*Make sure you are over 18
*You need to be fit on the physical and mental level (eg. You must be a non-smoker, be willing to work long hours, be willing to work during night shifts and sometimes go without weekend breaks).
*You need work experience as a mechanic (eg. electrician, cook, medic and engineer) in order to be seen as a valuable member.
*Ask whether any family friends are rig workers and whether they could give you valuable contacts within the industry.
*Conduct personal research on the oil industry and what they expect from valuable employees.
*Search online for job positions and what they expect of the applicant. Look out for an entry level position.
*Create a good quality Résumé and cover letter.
*Begin applying for jobs.
As a side note, you must be willing to work in the most remotest, harshest, windiest, driest or wettest, hottest or coldest locations and also the most politically unstable locations in the world because that is where the bulk of the oil is discovered and extracted (unless you are a rig worker in Canada of course)
In India, we usually go close the main door and we dance everyday till they hire us! if they don't, we bring more people to dance like Bollywood. when they see girls are dancing with you, they will hire you immediately! that trick always work !
