Help with working out the radius?

2pieR= 28

R= 28/2pie

R= 4.456cm

R=4.456....formula is c=2(3.14)r...try plugging in values. The question is telling u that the the circumference(c) is 28; the same as the perimeter of the square.

The circumference of a circle is the diameter multiplied by pi. This means if you divide 28 by pi you get the diameter. Divide this value by 2 as the diameter is twice the radius and you have the answer. Tada

28 = 2 ( pi) r

14/pi = r

The question is:

The perimeter of a square is 28cm(7+7+7+7) and the circumference of a circle is the same as the perimeter of the square. Work out the radius of the circle.
