I wish the whole rice urban legend had never started. The idea was that rice would adsorb the water, but there are major problems with that idea:
*The rice has already adsorbed water from the air and is not inclined to adsorb more
*The problem is the water inside, not the water outside
*Packing in rice effectively stops circulation so the water is trapped inside
*Rice includes rice dust, which can migrate inside and make things much worse.
Whatever you do do not charge it yet. It's internal parts could be wet and short electrical components! Let it sit in the rice bowl for a few more days. It's parts may not be all the way dry yet. If Siri is still turning on then you may have to tell them ????
Replace with Iphone 6
And also please don't eat that rice anymore. Its now contaminated with toilet water.
So, I dropped my Iphone in water yesterday... actually in the toilet. I was really stupid. Anyways, I turned it off and stuck it in rice for 24 hours. When I took it out today it turned on was doing great. The sound was working, everything was working. Then, siri would randomly turn on and the home button wouldn t work. I shut it off again, its almost dead (the battery) and I m really afriad it won t work. Is there anything I can do? My parents would get really mad if they found out I broke it. I know this was my fault and it was stupid. So please, if anyone knows anything else I can do please let me know!
