Do electrical engineers make circuits other than power systems?

Who else would do those things? Some might call them electronics engineers but they all take the same courses in school. To make things, there are dozens of engineers involved, most of which took the same school but end up dong things like qualifying parts and materials, testing, managing, marketing, etc. Maybe one in 50 actually designs circuits.

Modern power plants use lots of computer like circuits to provide automatic control, so electrical engineers need to know electronics, possibly more than electronic engineers who deal with black boxes on many jobs.

Yes, Electrical Engineering may once have referred only to power systems, but now extends to anything remotely electronic, including all the things you mentioned, and digital electronics, too.

EEs work on things ranging from microwatts to mega or gigawatts.

Do they make circuits other than making power systems. Do they make circuits that are similar to circuits in clocks, amplifiers, radios, and other stuff or do they just make power systems like high voltage and stuff?
