Do You Feel It When You Back Into Someone?

Probably it's not you, because: 1) when you are backing up, you're going pretty slowly. To cause major damage to another car, you have to be going at a high rate of speed. 2) you would feel it and hear it. Even a little scratch or dent, you can tell. 3) You were doing something simple that you do every day, backing out of your spot. So I wouldn't worry about it.

There's an argument against legalizing pot...if you did that damage you would have felt it if you were square at the time. If you were toasted and had the tunes blasting, call your insurance and man-up. You probably did it. No damage on your car...the chrome on your '69 Olds could smash anything on the street and still be shiny and smooth.

To do that kind of damage you would have to be going fast and you would come to a fast stop when you hit it and be thrown back in the seat. You would also hear the crash and have damage to you car.

not always. some panels are truly as flimsy as bear cans and would give way unnoticed.

This isn't even safe.

i am sure your mom felt me when she back up into me with her banging a$$ the other day.

I left my apartment earlier today and pulled out of my spot as I normally do. My wheels are too big for my car, so if I turn them too hard they rub and make an awful noise. Well, they rubbed as they always do when I pull out, and I thought nothing of it and ran my errands. I came home, did what I needed to do, and now have headed off to work. As I was leaving, I noticed a car that parks across the lot from me has a major crunch in its front end. I mean MAJOR, like something hit it hard.

I examined my car, and nothing is out of place. There are no new scratches, the paint isn't chipped, and there are no dents or dings. But now I'm freaking out thinking that maybe I backed into this guy's car and mistook the sound of me hitting the car for my tires rubbing!

I was home for a good two hours and no one came to talk to me or anything, but I still feel like "What if, what if, what if????"

So... is it possible that I didn't feel my car back into him? Is it possible to back into his front end and crunch it pretty badly and have no scratches or dings on my car? I feel so guilty and am having a major anxiety attack over it. I don't know what to do. I don't even know the person.
